Fall Season to Conclude at The Derby

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas women’s golf concludes its fall season this week as the Jayhawks head to Auburn, Ala., to compete in The Derby, Oct. 24-26. The event is being held at par 71, 6,450 yard Auburn University Golf Course.

The Jayhawks have earned two top-five finishes on the fall season in four events. They opened the season with a sixth place finish at the Chip-N-Club Invitational, followed by a fifth place showing at their host tournament, the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational. They next headed to Columbia, Mo., where they placed fifth at the Johnie Imes Invitational. Earlier this month they finished seventh at the McHaney/Morehead Invitational in Lubbock, Texas.

After The Derby, the Jayhawks will not play in a tournament until Feb. 16, when they head to Parrish, Fla., to compete in the Central District Invitational.
