Quinn, a Fort Collins, Colo. native, recorded a pair of shut outs over the weekend as the Jayhawks collected a win and a tie on the road. On Friday afternoon, Quinn returned to her native state of Colorado and made six saves to blank the Buffaloes, 2-0. The senior netminder was even better Sunday, collecting seven saves to shut out sixth-ranked Texas in Austin.

The Longhorns match marked the first time that a Jayhawk goalkeeper has held a ranked opponent scoreless on the road since Quinn shut out then-No. 25 Nebraska in Lincoln on Sept. 30, 2005. Quinn ranks third in the conference with 80 saves this season and is tied for seventh with three shut outs.

Quinn is the first Jayhawk to be named to the national publication’s Elite Team since junior Jessica Bush earned the distinction on Oct. 17, 2006.

Kansas (4-9-4, 2-2-3 Big 12) hosts Nebraska at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex Friday at 3 p.m. KU – currently tied for seventh in the Big 12 standings – will be looking for a berth in the Big 12 Championships.
