Jayhawks Conclude Day Two of Jayhawk Invitational

Junior Maria Martinez made it to the singles semifinals in the main draw before being eliminated by Missouri’s Kristin Bleakley Saturday to conclude Day two of the Jayhawk Invitational.
Martinez went 1-1 on the day, defeating Iowa State’s Maria Macedo in three sets.
Sophomore Alessandra Dzuba, junior Kate Goff and Martinez will all participate in singles and doubles on Sunday to conclude the Jayhawk Invitational at First Serve Tennis center.
In the ITA Regional tournament in Norman, Okla., freshman Sara Lazarevic fell to Teona Tsertsvadze of Oklahoma in three sets in the quarterfinal round of consolation matches. Lazarevic was the only Jayhawk in action on Saturday.
