Khanevskaya Wins Flight, KU Tennis Picks Up Consolation Wins in ITA/USTA Regionals

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Kansas tennis player Victoria Khanevskaya posted a flight win for the Jayhawks in the KU Invitational while her teammates had a strong showing down in Fayetteville, Ark., Sunday at the ITA/USTA Regional Championships.

Khanevskaya defeated Oklahoma’s Brittany Parks to win the White Singles Draw Sunday morning, at the Jayhawk Tennis Facility.

Paulina Los, Kate Goff and Dylan Windom all dropped their matches in their respective consolation draws to finish the three-day event.

Erin Wilbert paced the Jayhawks with two wins in regional play. Wilbert managed to play her way into the main consolation draw i, going 2-0 on the day defeating players from Bradley and Missouri.
