Kansas Softball Holds Second Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

After individual practice sessions ended on Monday, members of the Kansas softball team put their artistic skills to the test as the team participated in its second annual pumpkin carving contest.

The Jayhawks, which are broken up into four Rock Chalk Teams, competed against each other for best design and best presentation. The Crusade won best design for incorporating the team’s fall theme of A.I.M. into their carving. The Warhawks won points for best presentation.

The Kansas softball team participates in a variety of Rock Chalk Team competitions throughout the season designed to encourage competitiveness, team cohesiveness and bonding between players.
