James McClinton Represents KU on Big 12's Good Works Team

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Junior defensive tackle James McClinton was named to the Inaugural Big 12 Sports Good Works Team the conference announced Wednesday. McClinton, a native of Garland, Texas, was one of six Big 12 football players named to the list.

Each Big 12 member institution selected a student-athlete for recognition based upon significant community service, good academic standing and participation in a Big 12 sponsored sport. Beginning with this athletic year, the Big 12 will announce 12-person “Good Works” Teams for Fall (football, cross country, volleyball, soccer); Winter (men’s basketball, women’s basketball, swimming and diving, gymnastics, wrestling); and Spring Sports (golf, tennis, track & field, softball, baseball).
