Men's Cross Country Moves Up To No. 12

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

After achieving their best conference finish since the inception of the Big 12 last Friday, the University of Kansas men’s cross country team moved up one spot to No. 12 in the Mondo Men’s Cross Country Rankings.

The Jayhawks finished third overall at the Big 12 championship meet, an improvement on their previous best finish, a fourth-place result the past two seasons.

In addition to the No. 12 national ranking, the team supplanted the University of Minnesota as the No. 1 team in the Midwest region.

The men’s and women’s cross country teams will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 12, for the Midwest Regional Championship.
