Swimming and Diving Ranked in Top 25

Nov. 4, 2005

Lawrence, Kan. — The Kansas swimming and diving team entered the CSCAA Division I Top 25 poll for the first time since 1997, coming in at #24. Kansas broke the top 25 after defeating then-ranked No. 20 Missouri on Oct. 28. Kansas joins Texas and Texas A&M as the three schools from the Big 12 ranked in the poll.

There will be 10 CSCAA dual meet polls produced every two to three weeks throughout the season.

“Our team is very honored to be recognized by the CSCAA as a top 25 program,” said head coach Clark Campbell. ” We are eager to take that ranking into our meet today with Iowa and Missouri State.”

The Jayhawks will compete Friday against Missouri State and Iowa at 4 p.m., at Robinson Natatorium. The Jayhawks will have a week off before traveling to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Minnesota Invite.
