Proehl Takes Third in Second Day of Houston Invitational

HOUSTON, Texas –
Kansas diver Meghan Proehl placed third in the one-meter diving competition on Saturday, the second day of the Cougar Classic Fall Invitational in Houston, Texas. Kansas remained in eighth place with 59 points.
Proehl, a senior from San Diego, Calif., scored 245.80 points in the preliminaries and 285.05 points in the final round. Friday, Proehl captured fifth place in the three-meter dive.
Kansas divers Christy Cash, Taylor Ilten and Allison Ho also competed in the one-meter dive. In the preliminaries, they placed 11th, 12th and 13th, respectively.
The Kansas diving team will compete in the platform dive Sunday on the final day of the Invitational. The meet is set to begin again at 10 a.m. in Houston, Texas.
