Notes

–Senior guard Sherron Collins (17), sophomore forward Marcus Morris (14), sophomore guard Tyshawn Taylor (13), freshman guard Xavier Henry (12) and junior center Cole Aldrich (10) all scored in double figures. Kansas has had five players score in double digits three times this season.

–The 11 made free throws are the fewest for the Jayhawks this season and the 17 free throw attempts tie for the fewest attempts for the Jayhawks this season.

–Kansas has held 85-straight opponents to under 50 percent shooting. It has also held 12 of its last 13 opponents to under 40 percent. Tonight’s game marked the fourth consecutive game in which the Jayhawks have shot 50 percent or better from the field.

–KU’s 17 second half assists are the most since the Jayhawks dropped 18 dimes in the second half against UNC-Asheville on Jan. 2, 2003.

–Collins scored 17 points in the contest giving him 1,486 points in his career and to pass Brandon Rush for 20th place on the all-time scoring list. Tony Guy is 19th on the list with 1,488.

–Collins also dished out five assists, moving him into the top 10 on the all-time assists list with 438. Ryan Robertson is ninth with 485.

–Cole Aldrich grabbed 10 rebounds, giving him 613 for his career. With 613, Aldrich passed Pierre Russell, Richard Scott and Darnell Jackson to move into the 19th spot on the all-time rebounding list.

–Aldrich registered five blocks tying his season-high. For the season, Aldrich has tallied three or more blocks in nine out of 11 games.

–Aldrich also tallied his fourth double-double of the season and 26th of his career with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

–Junior guard Brady Morningstar recorded a career-high seven assists in the contest. His previous best was six three times, with the last being against Oklahoma State on Feb. 7, 2009.

–Xavier Henry grabbed a season-high eight rebounds. His previous high was six against Memphis on Nov. 17.

–California forward Jamal Boykin grabbed 12 rebounds in the first half. This is the most for an opponent in a half since Nebraska’s Steffon Bradford recorded 13 on January 15, 2000 in the second half. Boykin’s 15 total rebounds are the most since Sean Williams of Boston College had 15 boards on Dec. 23, 2006.
