Jayhawks in the NFL: Week 12

Lawrence, Kan.- Week 12 of the NFL season will kick off on Thursday night, with Shakial Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts taking on the Houston Texans. The rest of the week continues on Sunday night, with five Jayhawks total playing throughout the weekend, including Chris Harris Jr., (Denver Broncos), Dorance Armstrong Jr., (Dallas Cowboys), Bradley McDougald (Seattle Seahawks), and Steven Sims Jr., (Washington Redskins).

Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans

Thursday, November 21 at 7:20 p.m. CT

Jayhawks in Action: Shakial Taylor (Colts)

Going in on his seventh week since being removed from injury reserve, Shakial Taylor will hit the field for Thursday Night Football action against the Houston Texans, recording five tackles in last week’s game against the Jaguars, setting a new career high. The Colts hope to continue their win streak as they take on the Texans in week 12.

Denver Broncos vs. Buffalo Bills

In week 11, Chris Harris Jr., started in his tenth game of the season last week against the Minnesota Vikings. Throughout the season, Harris has forced one fumble, as well as 26 tackles throughout this season.

Detroit Lions vs. Washington Redskins

Entering his tenth game of the season last week, Steven Sims Jr. made six kickoff returns for the Washington Redskins, for a total of 143 yards. This marks a new career high of kickoff returns, while upping his season total to 24 returns for 542 yards, which ranks third in the NFL throughout this season. While the Redskins fell to the New York Jets in week 11, they hope to bounce back and take down the Detroit Lions throughout week 12.

Dallas Cowboys vs. New England Patriots

Jayhawks in Action: Dorance Armstrong Jr. (Cowboys)

While playing in his ninth game of the season, Dorance Armstrong Jr., was able to assist the Dallas Cowboys against the Detroit Lions by making one tackle, bringing his season total up to nine tackles. The Cowboys defeated the Lions, and hope to continue this streak when they play the Patriots on Sunday afternoon.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Philadelphia Eagles

While enjoying a bye week in week eleven, Bradley McDougald and the Seattle Seahawks will be back in full swing ready to take on the Philadelphia Eagles for week twelve. Starting in eight games throughout the season, McDougald has recorded one interception and one forced fumble.
