KU volleyball adds Foltz to 2019 roster

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas volleyball has concluded its 2019 class with the addition of Riley Foltz.

Foltz, an incoming freshman, is an outside hitter from Eudora High School and plays for the Eudora Chaos volleyball club. In 2018, she tallied 327 kills in 92 sets her senior season for the Lady Cards, and was named a Lawrence Journal-World All-Area First Team selection.

The honor comes after a stellar junior campaign where she also was named a LJW All-Area First Team honoree and an All-Frontier League Second Team selection, finishing the season with 333 kills, 58 service aces and 171 digs

“Riley Foltz is a multi-skilled athlete who will contribute as a six-rotation player,” said Ray Bechard. “She has good platform skills, and we believe she can score from the service line and can create opportunities for herself as she develops throughout her career at Kansas.

In addition to her on-court performances, Foltz was named a 2018 Eudora High School Kansas Honor Scholar.

Foltz joins Gracie Van Driel, Rachel Hickman and Morgon Christon, and becomes the third player to join Kansas volleyball from the state of Kansas.
