RCW: A Look Back 3.14

As Big 12 Champion Kansas volleyball prepares to take on its first-round NCAA foe, Samford, Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Horejsi Family Athletics Center, let’s take A Look Back at the first time the team hosted the first weekend of the NCAA Championship.

In 2012, KU was selected as the No. 11 overall seed in the NCAA Championship and hosted Cleveland State, Wichita State and Arkansas in Allen Fieldhouse. 

The Jayhawks defeated Cleveland State, 3-1, before falling to Wichita State, 1-3. Kansas has served as an NCAA First/Second Round host for five straight seasons, including last year’s unprecedented run to the program’s first ever NCAA Final Four.
