THE SHARK– Malik Newman entered the CenturyLink Center wearing his usual shark-toothed backpack on Sunday, March 25, before KU took on Duke in the Midwest Regional Championship game in Omaha, Nebraska. During the game, the redshirt-sophomore guard chomped on the Blue Devils, scoring 32 points — and all of the Jayhawks’ 13 points in overtime — to lead KU to victory and a berth in the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship’s Final Four semifinal against Villanova on Saturday, March 31, inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

PROUD – Coach Bill Self reached out to hold the shoulder of Devonte’ Graham before CBS interviewed the duo following KU’s overtime victory against Duke in the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship Midwest Regional title game. The senior ironman guard played all 45 minutes in the overtime victory on Sunday, March 25, in Omaha, Nebraska, and averages 37.8 minutes a game for the Jayhawks on the season.

RAIN ON ME – Coach Bill Self stepped into a player-fueled, water bottle shower inside the CenturyLink Center locker room after KU defeated Duke in the Midwest Regional final in Omaha, Nebraska, on Sunday, March 25. The victory propelled the Jayhawks to the Final Four of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship for the first time since 2012.
