RCW: By the numbers - Women's Basketball

The most important statistic for any basketball team starts and ends with wins and losses, however there are some other notable numbers to consider as the Jayhawks come down the home stretch with high hopes.

Redshirt junior guard Jessica Washington drained seven triples on the road against Kansas State (1/11), the most 3-pointers in a single game by a Jayhawk this season. Her seven treys were one shy of KU’s single-game record of eight.

Kansas leads the Big 12 Conference in turnovers forced with 19.1 per game and a total of 402 on the season. KU has forced 20 or more turnovers in six of its 10 league games this season.

After 10 games, redshirt junior guard Jessica Washington leads the Big 12 Conference in scoring in league play with 20.6 points per game. She has led all scorers in seven of 10 conference games.

Senior Timeka O’Neal is connecting on 39.4 percent of her attempts from long range in her career, which is the second-best 3-point career field goal average by Jayhawk in program history.

Senior forward Caelynn Manning-Allen has swatted away a team-best 22 blocks in 2016-17. Her 22 blocks brings her career total to 102, which ranks ninth all-time in KU women’s basketball history.
