RCW: From the office of ... Erin O'Neil

A photo collage adorns a wall in women’s golf head coach Erin O’Neil’s office of memorable players she’s coached at Kansas and moments they’ve shared over the years.

Do the student-athletes have to do something special to make it on the photo wall? 

“Usually you don’t get up there until you’ve finished your freshman year and you’ll stay up there through your whole career,” O’Neil said. “Amanda Costner won the Big 12 Conference for us her senior year and had a huge impact on our program. The gallery picture in the top left-hand corner is of Amanda and one of her teammates showing their personalities (Costner teeing off from teammate Jill Womble’s mouth). She and Jill had a lot of fun. The other pictures are from when we, as a team, try to go do other things outside of golf. When we have time, we try to expose the girls to a little bit of everything.”
