With its 73-63 win against Oklahoma on Feb. 27, Kansas won its 34th regular-season home finale, a streak that started in 1983-84. Included are 33 Senior Nights, as the 2006-07 Kansas team did not have a senior on the roster.

  • On Senior Night, Kansas recognized men’s basketball seniors Landen Lucas, Frank Mason III and Tyler Self. Lucas and Self are fifth-year seniors who ended their careers with undergraduate degrees from KU, five Big 12 regular-season titles, two Big 12 Championship titles, a 75-3 record in Allen Fieldhouse and both were named Academic All-Big 12 First Team this season. Mason was a part of four conference regular-season titles and is 12th all-time on the KU scoring list (1,740), ninth in assists (536), 10th in 3-point field goals made (170) and 17th in steals (159). KU also honored the four men’s basketball senior managers: Justin Bengtson, Emma Gordon, Chip Kueffer and Jay Turnipseed.
  • Freshman Josh Jackson posted his 11th double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds against Oklahoma (2/27). His 11 double-doubles are the most ever by a Kansas freshman and rank tied for 18th on the KU single-season list.
  • Under Bill Self, Kansas has not experienced a regular-season conference sweep by a Big 12 opponent. In 92 regular-season Big 12 home-and-home series during the Self era, Kansas has 64 sweeps and 28 splits.
  • Kansas will be the No. 1 seed in the 2017 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship, March 8-11 at Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The Jayhawks’ quarterfinal game will be March 9 at 1:30 p.m., on ESPN2. KU will face the winner of the No. 8 vs. No. 9 seeds who play Wednesday, March 8 at 6 p.m. Kansas has won 14 conference tournament titles, including 10 in the Big 12 era.
