Danielle Campbell

Danielle Campbell is in her second season as the Graduate Student Manager for the Jayhawks after a successful playing career at Purdue and a year of professional basketball in Australia.

Campbell, who was selected by the Indiana Fever in the 2009 WNBA Draft, was an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention pick in 2009. She played in more games (140) than any other player in Purdue history. She finished her career fourth on Purdue[apos]s all-time career blocked shots list with 175, and she ranks 12th on the rebounding list with 709 boards in her career. After starting just one game in her first two seasons with the Boilermakers, Campbell started all 34 games for Purdue during her junior season and led the team in scoring with an average of 12.2 rpg. She was also the Boilermakers[apos] leading rebounder with 7.2 rpg, while being named a member of the Big Ten All-Defensive Team and to the third team All-Big Ten by coaches and media. She was also selected to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team. Campbell collected just the second triple-double in Purdue women[apos]s history, as she set a school record for blocks in a game with 11, to go along with 12 points and 11 rebounds vs. Butler.

Campbell earned a degree in public relations from Purdue in May of 2009. She averaged 16 ppg, 13 rpg and 4.0 bpg as a senior at Chicago[apos]s Whitney Young High School, finishing fourth in Illinois Miss Basketball voting and she was a fourth team All-American by Street & Smith[apos]s as a senior.
