LAWRENCE, Kan. – With the conclusion of the WNBA season, the international basketball scene has picked up. Kansas is represented with five former players currently playing overseas. The list includes 1,000-point scorers Carolyn Davis (2009-13), Monica Engelman (2009-13), Angel Goodrich (2009-13), Danielle McCray (2006-10) and Aishah Sutherland (2008-12).

Carolyn Davis | Reims | France
Davis played in five games for Neftochimic of Bulgaria before joining Reims in France. In those five contests, Davis averaged 15.8 points on 67.0 percent shooting from the field and added 8.8 rebounds per contest.
 
Monica Engelman | ICIM Arad | Romania
Engelman has played in all 10 games for the top-ranked undefeated ICIM Arad. She recorded a season-high 25 points on 6-of-12 shooting in a four-point win, 73-69, over Targoviste (10/23). Engelman is averaging 12.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.2 steals for the defending champions.
 
Angel Goodrich | Chevakata | Russia
After the conclusion of her season with the Tulsa Shock, Goodrich joined Chevakata in Russia for the winter. Goodrich played in seven games for Chevakata in the regular season and has seen action in five games during the Eurocup. Goodrich scored a season-best 13 points and added four assists and two steals in a four-point win, 67-63, against Enisey (11/3). During her seven regular-season contests, Goodrich averaged 4.3 points, 1.7 assists and 1.6 steals for Chevakata. Goodrich has stepped up her play during the Eurocup and is averaging 7.0 points, 3.0 assists, 2.2 steals and 2.0 rebounds per game.  
 
Danielle McCray | Wisla Krakow | Poland
After playing nine games last season with Familia Schio in the Italian A1 League, McCray averaged 9.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 assists. She also played 12 games in Euroleague action, where she recorded 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals. This winter, McCray has played in two games for Wisla Krakow in Poland while trying to recover from tearing her Achilles tendon which sidelined her from the 2013 WNBA season. In two games this season McCray has averaged 8.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists.
 
Aishah Sutherland | Orvieto | Italy
Sutherland has seen action in eight games for Orvieto so far in the 2013-14 season. Sutherland scored a season-high 17 points, grabbed seven rebounds and recorded three steals in Orvieto’s three-point win, 70-67, on the road over higher ranked La Spezia (11/24). Sutherland is averaging 9.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game for Orvieto during the 2013-14 season.
