Jayhawks Individuals Conclude Play at Kansas City Shootout

Kansas City, Mo. – Three Kansas women’s golf student-athletes concluded their last day at the Kansas City Shootout by Gary Crossley Ford in Kansas City, Missouri, at the Shoal Creek Golf Club Tuesday.
 
KU freshman Kallie Gonzales was the leader of the KU individuals as she finished tied for 36th place with a third round score of 81 (+9) and a 54-hole total of 235 (+19). Freshman Pitsinee Winyarat finished tied for 39th place as she shot a 78 (+6) Tuesday and ended with a score of 237 (+21). Junior Mackenzie Thayer concluded the event tied for 70th place with a final round score of 84 (+12) and a 54-hole score of 248 (+32).
 
Teammates Allie Knight and Samantha Gotcher from Middle Tennessee tied for individual honors with a score of 217 (+1). Middle Tennessee won the event by 34 strokes with a three round total of 876 (+12).
