WEF hosts third annual Thank You Week
LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Williams Education Fund will celebrate its third annual Thank You Week, November 12-18. Thank You Week is a week-long recognition of all the devoted Jayhawks around the world who provide support for athletic and academic opportunities for the nearly 500 student-athletes who proudly represent Kansas in their competitive arenas, in the classroom and throughout the community.
“We are thrilled to be able to express thanks to all those who have contributed so much to Kansas Athletics,” said Matt Baty, senior associate athletics director of development. “It is the dedication and loyalty of the Williams Education Fund members that allows all Jayhawk student-athletes to compete at the highest level, while receiving a world-class education.”
This year, Thank You Week will consist of seven days of content featuring student-athletes from all 18 KU varsity sports. During each day a different theme will be highlighted to reflect the many ways our student-athletes’ lives have been influenced by the generosity of Jayhawk Nation. New content will be available daily on the Williams Education Fund website, as well as its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Members of the Williams Education Fund will also have opportunities throughout the week to win unforgettable prizes, such as authentic memorabilia, experiences, game tickets and more.
