Kansas rings in New Year with Holiday Hoops Clinic

LAWRENCE, Kan. –The Kansas women’s basketball program celebrated the end of 2018 with its annual Holiday Hoops Clinic on Friday afternoon inside Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks took a quick break from prep for its final nonconference matchup to teach the basics of basketball to some of their biggest fans.

Children from kindergarten through eighth grade participated in the annual clinic. Young basketball players rotated through several stations focusing on various basketball skills from current Jayhawks and the KU women’s basketball staff.

The two-hour clinic concluded with an autograph session and photographs with the Kansas players and coaches. Each participant received a voucher to attend a KU women’s basketball game later on during the 2019 Big 12 season.

Kansas concludes 2018 by hosting Vermont on Sunday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m., inside Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks’ final game of 2018 will air on the Jayhawk Television Network/ESPN+ and the Jayhawk Radio Network.
