Women’s basketball welcomes media to Allen Fieldhouse

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The KU women’s basketball program welcomed members of the media to Allen Fieldhouse for its annual media day on Monday, Oct. 7.

The afternoon kicked off with head coach Brandon Schneider addressing reporters in the media room in Allen Fieldhouse at his preseason press conference.

Following the 30-minute session with Schneider, who is entering his fifth season at the helm of the Kansas women’s basketball program, the media ventured onto James Naismith Court for a chance to meet all 13 members of KU’s roster.

Kansas returns six players from the 2018-19 campaign to go along with seven new faces. This includes five freshmen (Tamia Davis, Holly Kersgieter, Zakiyah Franklin, Chandler Prater and Chisom Ajekwu) and two transfers in Emma Merriweather and Tina Stephens.
