Jayhawks to finish Spring Break at Mountainview Collegiate

LAWRENCE, Kan. –The Kansas women’s golf team  travels to Tucson, Arizona, to compete in the MountainView Collegiate March 23-25. The Jayhawks wrapped up play at the Briar’s Creek Invitational in John’s Island, South Carolina, on Tuesday, where they finished in a tie for 11th place in the two-day event. 

The Mountainview Collegiate will be held at the par-72, 6,227-yard MountainView Golf Club. The three-day tournament will consist of 18 holes per day with an 8 a.m. (MT) start each day.

After shooting two even rounds in her first competition back from injury, freshman Sera Tadokoro tied for 25th place at the Briar’s Creek Invitational and looks to lead the Jayhawks through this weekend’s event.

Kansas’ lineup will feature Tadokoro along with, Ariadna Fonseca Diaz, Xinyun Yu, Yi-Tsen Chou and Chomchana Phuchanbanchob. Senior Kallie Gonzales will compete as an individual in the event.

Joining Kansas in the tournament field will be Central Arkansas, Colorado State, Illinois, Kansas State, Missouri, Missouri State, Nebraska, New Mexico State, North Texas, Sam Houston State, San Jose State, Wichita State and Wyoming.
