DALLAS — Consistent rain throughout the night made the Trinity Forest Golf Club unplayable Tuesday, as the already weather-shortened invitational was called after just 18 holes giving Kansas freshman Yi-Tsen Chou her first-career top-10 finish in just her third collegiate event.

Chou matched her career-best with a three-over-par 75 during Monday’s only round to finish the event tied for sixth place. She never really got into serious trouble on the course and paced the Jayhawks with three birdies in the round.

Collectively, the Jayhawks finished tied for eighth with fellow Big 12 Conference members Kansas State and Texas Tech. KU fired a 27-over 315 in the event’s only round. Michigan won the event at 16-over.

Junior Pitsinee Winyarat finished with a six-over 78 and tied for 30th. Sophomores Victoria Chandra (80) and Ariadna Fonseca Diaz (82) tied for 38th and 52nd, respectively. Redshirt freshman Xinyun Yu finished in a tie for 71st after shooting an 85 in her first round as a Jayhawk.

The Jayhawks conclude their fall campaign and will not compete again until February 26, when they travel to Peoria, Arizona, for the Westbrook Spring Invitational hosted by Wisconsin.
