– Senior Aquanita Burras started her team-best 60th straight game. She has started every game of her KU career.
– Junior Crystal Kemp made her first start of the season.
– KU’s starting lineup of Burras, Kemp, junior Erica Hallman, freshman Taylor McIntosh and senior Blair Waltz was the third different starting lineup used by the Jayhawks this season.
– The Jayhawk defense held UMKC to a KU opponent low 17 second half points.
– Sophomore Sharita Smith scored a season high five points. Her previous high was four vs. Texas-Arlington (11-21-04).
– Smith’s two steals marks a new career-high.
– Kemp notched her second double-figure scoring game of the season, the 27th of her career.
– With 17 points and 12 rebounds, Kemp notched her first double-double of the season, the eighth of her career.
– Kemp’s three steals were a season-high and also tied a career-high.
– McIntosh recorded her first career blocked shot.
– McIntosh pulled down a career-best 13 rebounds. It was the most by any Jayhawk this season.
– Kansas hit a season-best four three-pointers. The previous high was three vs. Texas-Arlington (11-21-04).
