Former KU Soccer standout signs with Kvarnsvedensik

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Former Kansas soccer standout Hanna Kallmaier has signed a professional contract with Kvarnsvedensik, a Swedish soccer club based in Borlänge that plays in Elitettan, the top women’s league in the country.

Kallmaier, who recently worked as a graduate assistant coach for the UMKC women’s soccer team, was a starting midfielder for the Jayhawks from 2012-16. She saw action in 72 matches in a Crimson & Blue uniform during her four years of eligibility, which included staters in 60 contests. She helped the Jayhawks to an NCAA Tournament berth as well as a runner-up finish in the Big 12 during her senior year in 2016, and also helped KU to a runner-up finish in the 2015 Big 12 Championship.

Sundsvall DFF is currently 15 matches into its 2019 campaign, which features 26 fixtures and spans until the end of October.
