Kansas Athletics to add four Jayhawk track & field legends to Hall of Fame

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas track & field is set to host the 91st Kansas Relays Presented by RCB Bank at Rock Chalk Park in less than a week and while the current Jayhawk squad is preparing for the home meet, Natalia Bartnovskaya (2013-14), Kyle Clemons (2010-13), Diamond Dixon (2011-14) and Andrea Geubelle (2010-13) prepare to be inducted into the Kansas Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, April 21 following the conclusion of the relays.
 
Bartnovskaya was the 2013 NCAA indoor women’s pole vault national champion and a member of the 2013 outdoor national championship team and the 2013 indoor and outdoor Big 12 championship teams, earned two First Team All-America honors, one Second Team All-America nod and currently holds both the indoor and outdoor school records in the women’s pole vault.
 
Clemons earned a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as a member of the USA’s 4×400-meter relay team and was a member of the USA’s 4×400 team at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 2014 that broke the world record. While at Kansas, Clemons was a six-time Second Team All-America honoree, two-time Big 12 Champion, and broke three school records, including the 400-meter dash in both indoor and outdoor and the indoor 4×400-meter relay.
 
A 2012 Summer Olympics gold medalist as a member of the USA’s 4×400-meter relay team, Dixon returned to Kansas in 2013 to finish her collegiate career where she was a member of the Big 12 indoor and outdoor championship teams and the outdoor national championship squad. She is a 14-time All-American, won the 2012 NCAA indoor 400-meter national title, a 10-time Big 12 individual champion, and set school records in the indoor and outdoor 400-meter dash, indoor and outdoor 4×400-meter relay and the 4×100-meter relay.
 
Like Clemons, Geubelle also represented the USA at the 2016 Summer Olympics where she finished 21st in the triple jump. While at Kansas, she was a three-time individual national champion, winning the 2012 and 2013 indoor triple jump titles as well as the 2013 indoor long jump crown. Geubelle was also a member of the 2013 Big 12 and national championship teams, a 13-time All-American, a four-time Big 12 individual champion and currently holds the school records in the indoor and outdoor triple jump as well as the indoor long jump.
 
The inductees will be introduced at approximately 3 p.m. on Saturday at Rock Chalk Park during the Kansas Relays, and the induction ceremony, which is open to the public, is scheduled for Saturday evening following the conclusion of the Relays at the Booth Family Hall of Athletics at approximately 7:45 p.m., with east doors opening to the public at 7:30 p.m. Parking is available on the south end of Allen Fieldhouse.
