Men’s Golf tied for first heading into Badger Invitational final round

MADISON, Wis. – Through two rounds at the Badger Invitational, the Kansas men’s golf team is tied for first place on the team leaderboard with Notre Dame at University Ridge Golf Course.

The Jayhawks shot 6-under par 282 in Monday’s second round to rise up to the top spot on the leaderboard.

Leading the way for KU was senior Andy Spencer who posted 5-under par 67 and sits tied for ninth on the individual leaderboard. Spencer finished strong on the back nine, shooting 4-under, which included an eagle on the par-five 11th hole. KU junior Ben Sigel is also tied for ninth after shooting an even-par 72 Monday.

The third and final round is set for Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. (Central), and live scoring can be followed at Birdiefire.com.
