Kansas at No. 18 in the ITA Poll

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Kansas women’s tennis team is at No. 18 in the newest Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) poll, marking the 10th-consecutive week of being ranked in the top-20 nationally.
 
KU dropped two spots after a, 4-1, loss against then-ranked No. 11 Oklahoma State, followed by a, 4-0, sweep over No. 50 Oklahoma last weekend.
 
Senior Despoina Vogasari moved up five spots to No. 63 out of 125 on the singles list. Vogasari is currently on a nine-match win streak, the longest of her career, owns a 12-4 dual record and is 23-9 on the season.
 
Also appearing on the singles poll is junior Anastasia Rychagova at No. 8 in the nation. She has an overall record of 18-3, including 8-1 in duals and 11-2 against ranked opponents.
 
In doubles, Rychagova and fellow junior Nina Khmelnitckaia find themselves as the No. 14-ranked tandem by the ITA. The Jayhawk pair tallied an 8-2 dual-match record at the top spot for Kansas and a season mark of 15-4.
