Jayhawks Set to Close Spring with Razorbacks Saturday

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas soccer will play its final match of the 2016 spring exhibition season when the Jayhawks welcome the Arkansas Razorbacks to Lawrence on Saturday, April 30. The Jayhawks and Razorbacks will square off inside Rock Chalk Park at 3 p.m.

The Jayhawks have enjoyed a solid spring campaign that has seen them go 2-2 in their first four outings. After losses to the Kansas Men’s Club Team and the NWSL’s FC Kansas City, KU rattled off wins over Tulsa, 2-1, on April 9 before returning to Rock Chalk Park on April 16 and securing a 4-0 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes. Junior forward Ashley Pankey and sophomore defender Alex Schweitzer have each turned in multiple goals during the spring campaign, while the KU defense has allowed just one goal in its last 180 minutes of action.
