KU’s seventh finisher and scorer at the Bob Timmons Classic (9/19) … The sophomore placed 20th with his 6K time of 19:28.9 … Among a pack of Jayhawks to finish the 8K at the Cowboy Jamboree in four-consecutive places (31-34) … Placed 32nd individually with his time of 25:31.5 in Stillwater.

In his first official race donning the Crimson and Blue for Kansas, crossed the finish line in 25:26.4 at the Pre-National Invitational (10/19) to place 248th among a field of 257 of some of the best runners in the nation in the Men’s 8K Blue Race  … Helped lead the men’s team to a top-20 finish at Pre-Nationals, where they placed 19th out of 38 teams with 532 points … Crossed the finish line at the Big 12 Championship (11/2) in 25:40.4 … His 8K time earned him a 52nd-place finish individually … Helped the men’s team to a fourth-place finish with 92 points.

Six-time letterwinner between cross country and track & field at Campolindo High School in Moraga, California … Ran under the guidance of head coach Chuck Woolridge … A two-time North Coast Section Champion … At the CIF State Championships, finished runner-up once and in third place another time.

Son of Edward and Abigail Buckley … Has two younger sisters, Maggie and Ellie … Both grandparents and multiple other ancestors attended the University of Kansas … Plans to major in sports management.
