Kansas Football Vs. Southern Mississippi Sold Out

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas Athletics announced that Saturday’s home football game against Southern Mississippi is officially a sellout. The 11 a.m. game is being televised on FSN.

The advance sellout gives KU its sixth straight capacity crowd of Kivisto Field at Memorial Stadium. It also marks the 10^th sellout in the last 12 games for the Jayhawks in the 50,071-seat stadium. The only non-50,000-plus crowds in that time were 48,621 vs. Louisiana Tech and 49,566 vs. Colorado last season.

Kansas opened the year with a single-game record crowd of 52,530 vs. Northern Colorado. Last week 50,101 were on hand for the Jayhawks’ 44-16 victory against Duke.

After this week, Kansas has home games remaining against Iowa State (Oct. 10), Oklahoma (Oct. 24) and Nebraska (Nov. 14). Ticket information is available at www.kuathletics.com.
