FROM ON HIGH – The high-flying performance by the KU cheerleaders was just one segment of Late Night in the Phog activities captured from a bird’s eye view in the Allen Fieldhouse catwalks on Friday, September 28.
JURASSIC WORLD – Big Jay danced with two dinosaurs during the mascot skit’s take on the movie “Jurassic World.”
LIGHTING IT UP – Fans waved illuminated thunder sticks as lights inside Allen Fieldhouse dimmed.
DRUMMING – Freshman David McCormack sat in as the drummer with the KU pep band.
SPOTLIGHT DANCE – Light dots highlighted the performance of the Rock Chalk Dancers.
IN THE EYE – Senior Chelsea Lott, sophomore Bailey Helgren, senior Kylee Kopatich, freshman Aniya Thomas and senior Christalah Lyons finished their dance routine on the eye of the Jayhawk.
LONG-RANGE CONTEST – Jessica Washington fired a jump shot as the senior teamed up with freshmen Brooklyn Mitchell and Aniya Thomas along with senior Austin Richardson in a 3-point shooting contest.
INTRODUCING - Junior Tyler Johnson emerged from behind an illuminated curtain to the cheers of the fans as the women’s team was introduced.
HAWK REPORT – Coach Bill Self thanked the fans for the success of another Late Night in the Phog.
DANCE MEN – Teaming with the Rock Chalk Dancers, the KU men showed off their dance moves.
DANCE FLOOR – Dramatic lighting set off the men’s dance routine inside Allen Fieldhouse.
CHAINZING – Women’s basketball players followed 2 Chainz as the rapper made his way around James Naismith Court inside Allen Fieldhouse.
SHADOWED– Rapper 2 Chainz cast a long shadow during his 10-song set.
HERE WE GO – Freshman Ochai Agbaji strutted onto the court during introductions before the men’s scrimmage.
SWOOPING IN – Dedric Lawson swooped in for a dunk as the redshirt junior warmed up for the men’s scrimmage.
FIRST LOOK – Fans inside Allen Fieldhouse got their first look at the Jayhawks in action during the scrimmage that capped Late Night in the Phog.
