Call it a Comeback
In their come-from-behind victory over Texas Tech (Oct. 26), the Jayhawks overcame a 17 point deficit to start the game and a 13 point deficit in the second half to take down the Red Raiders on Homecoming. It was the first time that KU overcame either deficit in a win since Nov. 6, 2010, when Kansas overcame a 28-point deficit to beat Colorado. Kansas’ comeback effort was secured on a 32-yard field goal from junior kicker Liam Jones as time expired. That kick was the first game-winning field goal since 2016, when Matthew Wyman connected on a 25-yarder to down Texas.
