LAWRENCE, Kan. – Four Kansas teams registered 100 percent graduation success rates, while another six KU programs registered at least 80 percent, according to the latest data released by the NCAA Wednesday. Jayhawk teams recorded a combined 83 percent GSR, just two percentage points off the department record of 85 percent. This data measures the graduation success rates achieved by scholarship student-athletes who entered KU from 2008-11.
The graduation success rate is based on a comparison of the number of scholarship student-athletes who enter a college or university and the number who graduate within six years. The GSR takes into account transfers and student-athletes who leave in good academic standing.
For the seventh year in a row, Kansas men’s basketball posted a 100 percent four-year GSR, meaning for a four-year average, all scholarship student-athletes either graduated or left the program in good academic standing. The women’s golf team achieved a 100 percent four-year GSR for the sixth-straight year.
The women’s basketball and tennis teams also posted 100 percent four-year GSR scores.
Volleyball (92 percent), soccer (91), rowing (84), swimming & diving (84), baseball (80) and men’s golf (80) all achieved GSR scores of 80 percent or higher.
