RCW: A Look Back 4.10

This coming weekend Kansas Athletics will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the 1992 Aloha Bowl team, and induct Gilbert Brown into the Ring of Honor. This week, let’s take A Look Back at Brown’s football career.

While at KU from 1989 through 1992, Brown started all but two games. He ended his career tied for sixth in tackles by a defensive lineman with 168, and ranked fifth in career tackles for a loss with 30. Brown recorded 7.5 career sacks and helped lead the 1992 defense to a top-five ranking. He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 1993 NFL Draft and later picked up by the Green Bay Packers, for whom he played his entire 10-year professional career. With the Packers, Brown won Super Bowl XXXI and also played in Super Bowl XXXII. He was inducted into the Packers’ Hall of Fame in 2008.
