🥎 Softball Announces Six Signees
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas softball announced the signings of six student-athletes on Wednesday, Nov. 13, on National Signing Day. The Jayhawks will be welcoming Sophia Buzard, Savanna DesRochers, Kaitlyn Gee, Kasey Hamilton, Lyric Moore and Angela Price to the 2020-21 roster.
“We are adding versatility on defense, power to the offense, and a right-handed and left-handed pitcher. I’m excited about the athleticism and competitive edge the 2020 class will add to the Jayhawk softball program,” head coach Jennifer McFalls said.

Buzard is a Wichita, Kansas native. She plays club softball with the Wichita Mustangs where she serves as a lefty power hitter in the outfield.

DesRochers is from Forney, Texas. She is a member of the Texas Glory Fastpitch organization and is a right-handed pitcher and power hitter.

Gee is the second Texas native joining the team as she comes from Southlake, Texas. She plays for the Glory Adkins softball organization and will serve as a third baseman and utility option for the Jayhawks.

Hamilton is the second Kansas native in this recruiting class, joining KU from Topeka, Kansas. Hamilton is a member of the Select Fastpitch organization and is a left-handed pitcher and a utility player.

Moore is a Mountain House, California native. She is a member of the Corona Angels organization where she plays both catcher and outfield.

Price joins the Jayhawks from Greenwood, Arkansas. She is a member of the Tulsa Elite organization and will be a utility infielder and outfielder for KU.
