2009 (RS): Redshirted his first year at KU

Junior College: Played two seasons at Blinn JC… An all-conference first team selection as a defensive end his sophomore season… Earned Heart of Texas Bowl team MVP honors… Team was 9-3 on the season and won a conference championship… Recorded 10 sacks and 29 tackles for loss as a sophomore.

High School: Prepped at Jersey Village HS… Lettered two years… Played defensive end, linebacker and tight end… Recorded 18 sacks as a senior… Was an all-district selection… Earned all-greater Houston area honors… Also played basketball.

Personal: Son of Sheba Stephens… Has three brothers and two sisters… Major is political science.
