Career Honors: 2012: Named Academic All-Big 12 First Team, and was one of three football student-athletes to be post a perfect 4.0 GPA. 2011: Named to the team[apos]s Dean[apos]s List and the Athletic Director[apos]s Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA during spring semester.

2012 (Sr.): Awarded a scholarship prior to the season starting… Did not see any game action.

2011 (Jr.): Did not see any action.

2010 (So.): Saw limited action on special teams and as a defensive back.

2009 (Fr.): Did not see any action.

2008 (RS): Redshirted after walking onto the team.

High School: Was a four-year letterwinner as a running back and linebacker… Earned all-league honors two times on defense and once on offense… Also played basketball and baseball… A two-time all-league selection in baseball… Was his high school[apos]s valedictorian.

Personal: Born in Oskaloosa, Kan… Son of Steve and Kim Hawks… Has one brother and two sisters… Brother wrestled at Neosho County CC… An education major… Would like to be a high school teacher and football coach.
