2010 (Fr.): Played as a backup wide receiver… First collegiate action came in fourth game against New Mexico State… Started at Iowa State in KU[apos]s four-wide receiver set… Had six receptions for 61 yards on the season… First career catches came against Kansas State when he pulled in three for 37 yards, including a long of 18… Other three catches came at Iowa State for 24 yards.
2009 (RS): Redshirted his first year at KU… Named KU Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week vs. UTEP.
High School: A three-year letterwinner… Played wide receiver, defensive back and returned punts and kicks… Earned all-county first team honors as a wide receiver and second team honors as a defensive back… Had 44 catches for 732 yards and five touchdowns as a senior… Also played basketball.
Personal: Son of Fred and Veronica McGriff… Father played major league baseball for 19 seasons… Has one sister… Major is pre-sports management.
