2010 (RS): Named KU compete team defensive player of the week vs. Southern Mississippi… Redshirted his first season at Kansas.

High School: Was an honorable mention all-state selection at offensive tackle by the Texas Sports Writer[apos]s Association and the Associated Press Sports Editors… Named an all-state second-team defensive tackle.. Was a first-team all-district selection on both the offensive and defensive lines… Recorded 60 tackles and nine sacks as a senior… As a junior he earned honorable mention all-state and first-team all-district recognition at offensive tackle… Also played on the basketball team.
