Career Honors: 2011: Named to the Phil Steele Midseason All-Big 12 Third Team … Earned title of team captain for his senior season. 2008: Rivals.com Freshman All-America Second Team. 2007: KU Scout Team Offensive Player of the Week vs. Kansas State.

2011 (Sr.): Started all 12 games at center this season, giving him 21-straight starts … Left the Oklahoma game with an injury, but returned to face Kansas State … Helped offense gain 534 yards, including 253 on the ground, against Northern Illinois … Also helped the KU offense gain 404 yards, including 296 rushing yards, against Baylor … Recovered a fumble in the end zone following an interception against Baylor.

2010 (Jr.): Missed the season opener, but then started at center for the next 11 games.

2009 (So.): Started all 12 games at center… Played tackle as a freshman in 2008.

2008 (Fr.): Earned Rivals.com Freshman All-America Second Team honors… Started at right tackle in games two through five before moving to left tackle where he started the final nine games of the year… One of two redshirt freshmen tackles on the line along with Jeff Spikes… Had to replace current Cincinnati Bengal and 2007 All-American Anthony Collins at this position.

2007 (RS): Redshirted his first year at Kansas.

High School: The No. 13-ranked center in the class of 2007 by ESPN.com… Earned all-state honors after his senior season in 2006… Also was an all-district and all-area performer after his final year of eligibility… Named all-district as a junior in 2005… Helped the Cowboys to four-straight district championships… Earned varsity letters in football and basketball… Coached in football by Allen Wilson… A member of Carter High[apos]s honor roll and in the top 20 percent of his academic class.
