Opened his outdoor season by running a 1:50.85 in the 800 meters at the Texas Relays, finishing ninth … Ran a personal best 3:51.57 in the 1,500 meters at the Tom Botts Invitational … Placed 11th at the Big 12 Championship in the 800 meters, finishing in 1:49.30 … Advanced to the NCAA West Regional, where he ran a personal best 1:49.10 in the 800 meter first round … Went on to place 19th at the West Regional in the 800 meters, running a 1:50.34 in the second round.

Made his KU debut at the KU-KSU-WSU Triangular, winning the 800 meters in 1:56.15 and winning the mile in 4:13.69 … Ran a personal best 51.11 in the 400 meters at the Jayhawk Classic, placing third … Ran a 1:51.22 in the 800 meters at the Arkansas Qualifier, placing second … Went on to run a 1:51.18 in the 800 meters at the Iowa State Classic, placing fifth … Ran a personal best 1:50.68 in the 800 meter finals at the Big 12 Championship, placing sixth overall … Was also a part of the KU Distance Medley Relay that placed third at the Big 12 Championship in 9:58.08.
HIGH SCHOOL
Was a two-time Class 2A Minnesota State Champion in the 800 meters while at Eastview high school … Was named the 2018-19 Minnesota Gatorade boys track & field player of the year as a junior … Set the Minnesota State record in the 800 meters at the Section 3AA Championships in 2019 with a time of 1:49.83, which ranked second in the nation … Was also the champion of the Brooks PR Invitational … Was the first high schooler in the nation to go under 1:50.00 in the 800 meters as a junior.
