Played at Manvel High School in Manvel, Texas, a suburb of Houston, for head coach Chris Wilson … Was a 2023 UIL Boys 5A All-State and TABC All-Region selection … Averaged 22.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 3.2 blocked shots per game his senior season as Manvel posted a 21-10 record and won the district title going 10-3 … As a junior, Manvel HS posted a 19-5 record and McDowell averaged 21.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 4.5 steals per game … Played AAU basketball for the Houston Defenders.
