Bio

Feng enters his fourth season as the Head Diving Coach of the Kansas Swimming and Diving program, guiding his diving team to be one of the top teams in the Big 12 Conference. Feng, a Hefei, China native, has made an immediate impact for the Jayhawks, appearing at the 2024 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with standout diver Shiyun Lai.

During the 2023-24 season, Feng guided Lai to arguably the most successful freshman diving seasons in program history, earning three Big 12 Diver of the Week honors, CSCAA Second Team All-America, Big 12 Championships Newcomer Diver of the Meet and Honorable Mention All-American in both the one and three-meter events. Along with the success from Lai, Feng led four of his divers (Lai, Gabriela San Juan Carmona, Lize van Leeuwen and Lauren Gryboski) to the 2024 NCAA Zone Diving Championship.

In 2022, the Jayhawks finished fourth at the Big 12’s, along with multiple NCAA Zone Qualifying events. In 2020-21, his first season, Feng helped Kansas to a second-place finish at the 2021 Big 12 Championship. Feng worked for Head Coach Clark Campbell and the Jayhawks as the Diving Graduate Assistant from 2017-20, eventually being promoted to the head coaching position.

Feng spent 10 years as a diver on the provincial team in Anhui, China, finishing top-eight at the China National Championships several times throughout his career. Feng also won the Junior Asian Championships in the early stage of his diving career.
