Kansas super-senior center Taiyanna Jackson will begin her professional career as a member of the Connecticut Sun. The Sun selected Jackson Monday night in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft at pick No. 19.

Kansas super-senior center Taiyanna Jackson has received the recognition of All-America Honorable Mention from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) for the second-consecutive season, the organization announced Thursday.

Wyvette Mayberry and Danai Papadopoulou have been selected to the 2023-24 Academic All-District Women’s Basketball Team, which recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their performances on the court and in the classroom.

S’Mya Nichols scored 22 points and Taiyanna Jackson set a program NCAA Tournament record with 18 rebounds on Monday night, but the Jayhawks fell to No. 1 seed USC 73-55 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at the Galen Center.

The Kansas Jayhawks have advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the 11th time in program history, and the No. 8-seeded Jayhawks will take on top-seeded and No. 3-ranked USC on Monday, March 25 with a spot in the Sweet Sixteen on the line.

Zakiyah Franklin hit a three-pointer with 12 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime and eventually lift No. 8-seeded Kansas to an 81-72 win over No. 9 Michigan in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at the Galen Center.

The Kansas Jayhawks will make their 15th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, beginning on Saturday, March 23, with a first round matchup against Michigan.
