Kansas outside hitter Caroline Bien has been selected as one of 18 top junior volleyball players who will comprise the 2023 Women’s Under-21 (U21) National Training Team for USA Volleyball.

Following back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances and a Sweet 16 run in 2021, Kansas Volleyball Coach Ray Bechard has signed a three-year contract extension through the 2025 season, Director of Athletics Travis Goff announced Thursday.

Head Coach Ray Bechard announced the addition of transfers Reagan Cooper and Mykayla Myers to the 2023 Kansas Volleyball signing class. Cooper will be joining the Jayhawks from Texas Tech, while Myers will be transferring in from TCU. 

Sixteen University of Kansas student-athletes have been honored with the Big 12 Conference’s highest academic achievement, the 2023 Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award, it was announced Friday.

After a second consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, Kansas Head Coach Ray Bechard has announced promotions for assistant coaches Billy Ebel and Kaitlin Nielsen. Ebel was promoted to Associate Head Coach – Recruiting Coordinator and Nielsen was elevated to Associate Head Coach – Technical Advisor.

Kansas Athletics student-athletes had a banner fall semester in the classroom, recording a combined department grade point average of 3.33, establishing a new non-COVID era record.

Fresh off a second-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament, the Kansas Volleyball team had four players earn Midwest All-Region honors, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced Tuesday.

Kansas Volleyball put forth a valiant effort against No. 7-ranked Nebraska in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, falling 3-1 on Friday evening at the Devaney Center.

For the second straight season, Kansas Volleyball is playing in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Kansas will take on Nebraska at 7 p.m. CT on Friday at Bob Devaney Sports Center. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
