Jayhawks alter midweek schedule with Jackson State

LAWRENCE, Kan. – With the threat of thunderstorms hovering around the Lawrence area this week, Kansas officials have elected to move Wednesday’s regularly-scheduled baseball game to a doubleheader on Tuesday, May 7, starting at 2:30 p.m.

If the night cap of Tuesday’s doubleheader is unplayable, the game will be moved back to Wednesday with a start time to be determined in order to find a window that will give both Kansas and Jackson State the best chance to finish the two-game series.

With start times happening during school hours, fans are encouraged to park in either the Allen Fieldhouse or Central District parking garage and pay the hourly rate until 4:30 p.m.

After that time, the lots around Hoglund Ballpark will no longer require a parking permit and fans can move their vehicles into those designated areas without being ticketed.

Both games of the midweek set will be available on ESPN+ and the Jayhawk Radio Network. For updates regarding the schedule as the weather develops, please check back to KUAthletics.com or follow the Kansas baseball social media accounts.
