2004 (Junior): Set KU[apos]s season (18) and career home run (29) marks … Drafted in the 11th round by the Texas Rangers.

2004 Preseason (Junior): Turned down an offer from the Minnesota Twins after being drafted in the 38th round of the 2003 draft… Named the Big 12[apos]s top defensive third baseman by Baseball America.

2003 (Sophomore):Started 52 games at third base… Ranked second on the team with 11 homeruns… Ended the season with an average of .288… Named the NCBWA National Hitter of the Week for the period ending on Feb. 18, after batting .588 (10-for-17) including five extra base hits in victories over Western Illinois and LSU.

2002 (RS-Freshman):Earned the starting spot at second base 22 games into the season, but was sidelined for the season after tearing a knee ligament against Illinois-Chicago (4/30) in his 20th start… Batted 269 with five doubles and 13 runs scored… Had seven multi-hit games including a pair of 2-for-4 performances against Oklahoma State (3/29-30).

2001 (Freshman):Accepted a redshirt his first year at Kansas.

High School:A 2000 graduate of Wamego High School… Hit .603 with 13 home runs as a senior… Holds the record in nearly every offensive category in the history of the school[apos]s program… A two-time all-state selection and three-time member of the All-North Central Kansas League squad… Led the team to a fourth-place finish as a junior and a state championship as a senior.
